Leopardstown Fiscal Rules

 

En gruppe tre løp på galoppbanen Leopardstown i Irland er dagens høyest rangerte galoppløp. Et felt på 7 hester kommer til start i dette løpet, hvor fem år gamle Ancient Spirit er gjort til favoritt av spilleren i vinnerspillet.

Jeg har falt ned på et annet spillobjekt, 3 år gamle Fiscal Rules. Gikk et løp i fjor og endte da på andre plass bak årets 2000 Guineas vinner Wichita med hele 18 hester til start. Har vært ute i to gruppe 1 løp i år på Curragh, først i Irsk 2000 Gunieas og deretter i Irsk derby. Var nummer i begge løp og gjorde absolutt ikke bort seg i de to gruppe 1 løpene.

Spesielt i 2000 Guineas var avslutting av løpet meget bra. I Derby så var distansen 4 furlong lengere, feltet større, hadde litt trafikkproblemer og det var regn.

I dag tilbake på 1 mile distansen som Irsk 2000 Gunieas.

Tre åringer tar ofte igjen sine eldre når vi nærmer oss høsten, i tillegg så har han en vektfordel til favoritten Ancient Spirit. Vektfordel betyr ikke noe for mitt spill, da jeg velger å spille Bet365 vinnerspill hvor resultatet til favoritten – Ancient Spirit ikke har noe betydning.

Leopardstown Racecourse er lokalisert i nærheten av Dublin. Det skal ikke være noen bias fordel på denne banen, bias vil si at det er en fordel til hvilken gate man har når man starter og hvor man er plassert under løpet.

Holds some strong form to his name after finishing fifth in both the Irish 2000 Guineas & Irish Derby after finding only Wichita too good on debut. Drops back in trip & likely to go close as he bids to get off the mark.

Smart maiden. 15/2, 7¾ lengths fifth of 14 to Santiago in Irish Derby at the Curragh (12f, good) 47 days ago, met some trouble. Significantly back down in trip. Interesting.

ANCIENT SPIRIT is a tough, admirable sort who looks sure to give it his all in a very tricky race. Since racing resumed in June, he has had a good time of it in winning a pair of Listed races before finishing second in a Group 3 behind Patrick Sarsfield over nine furlongs at this track. That run can be marked up as the latter was then a close third in a Group One in Germany.

The fly in the ointment here is Etneya, in receipt of weight. The fact that Dermot Weld pitches her into this after she won her fillies’ maiden at the Curragh last month appears significant. She is very hard to assess after that comfortable victory, however, the runner-up came out and won her maiden by a healthy three and a half lengths. Etneya holds a Group 2 entry, and is clearly a filly of considerable potential. She is a half sister to Eziyra who won at Group 2 level for Weld.

Conversely, Royal Dornoch is a class dropper from being unplaced in Group One company. It was only three starts ago that he landed the Group 2 Royal Lodge, though, so he has to be given plenty of respect.

Fiscal Rules is lightly raced but took fifth in both the Irish 2,000 Guineas and Irish Derby and has a part to play.
