Melbourne Cup  – the race that stops a nation.

Spill nr Odds Innsats Gevinst
Twilight Payment 30 0,30 9,14
Finche 21 0,44 9,14
Surprise Baby 8,8 1,04 9,14
Ashrun 30 0,30 9,14
Tiger Moth 7 1,31 9,14

Racing Post

Ashrun
Got into this having won Saturday; good chance but some might be fresher

Finche
Having his third start in the race and after a fourth in 2018 and seventh in 2019

Surprise Baby
Big eyecatcher in this last year and looked primed to go even closer in this running

Tiger Moth
Lightly raced 3yo with potentially plenty more to come; obvious chance even from wide draw

Twilight Payment
Seems improved this campaign, but vulnerable to something less exposed
Racing Post tror mest på:
It’s very easy to be swayed towards the claims of TIGER MOTH .That said, he only narrowly gets the vote ahead of Surprise Baby

Timeform analyse:

Race Analysis

TIGER MOTH (21) draws right out and that may trick things up but it gives them options with him and he looks sure to relish going to two miles now in a race that he has been targeted towards by the world’s leading stable. Big run in the Irish Derby at just his third start and then won a really competitive Group 3 last time to lock up a spot here. Profiles like the one they have to beat.

SIR DRAGONET (5) got better the further they went in the Cox Plate. Won a test of stamina there and rating gives him a massive look here if he can take it to two miles.

RUSSIAN CAMELOT (15) comes off the same race with a great chance. Still on the up and a terrific talent.

VERRY ELLEEGANT (7) starred at Caulfield. Grand mare that would love some rain.

ASHRUN (18) may get too far back but he stays powerfully. Look for him storming at the line late on.
